Painting web design Houston — for companies competing on quality in a climate that punishes shortcuts
Houston sits at 106 days a year above 90 degrees with morning humidity around 85 per cent. Exterior paint here is a maintenance cycle, not a one-off, and the company that explains that is the company that gets called back.
Painting web design Houston earns its money on the comparison. The homeowner is getting three quotes, and the deciding factor is rarely price alone — it is which company sounded like it knew what it was doing. If your site is slow, thin on real work, or slow to reply to a quote request, the other two get the job.
What does the Houston climate do to exterior paint?
It shortens the cycle. Here is what the numbers actually say, and where they stop.
days a year at or above 90°F in Houston
average relative humidity, morning and afternoon
service life of top-quality acrylic latex on smooth edge-grained cedar or redwood
the same paint on smooth flat-grained pine or fir
Temperature and humidity from NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information Comparative Climatic Data. Paint service life from the USDA Forest Service, Finishing Wood Exteriors, Agriculture Handbook 647, Table 6.
Notice what those last two rows really say: the substrate matters more than the brand. The same paint lasts twice as long on the right wood, prepared properly.
The Forest Service adds one caveat we will not paper over: “Expected life will vary in extreme climates or exposure.” Nobody publishes a Houston-adjusted number, so we are not going to invent one for you — but nobody who has repainted a south-facing wall here needs telling.
What happens to a quote request that arrives on a Sunday evening?
For most Houston painting companies, the honest answer is: it waits until somebody gets to the laptop.
Homeowners plan decorating at weekends and send three enquiries in one sitting. The first company to reply properly sets the benchmark the other two are measured against, and often just gets the job.
That gap is the single most expensive thing in the whole operation, and it is not a website problem or a phone problem. It is the space between the two.
What does a Houston painting lead actually cost you?
Before deciding what a website is worth, work out what you already pay to make one phone ring.

WordStream, Google Ads Benchmarks 2026, Home & Home Improvement category. Median figures from 13,474 US search campaigns running April 2025 to March 2026.
Roughly ninety dollars to make one phone ring, on a lead you are then sharing with two competitors by default.
Two enquiries a week that never get a reply is about $9,000 a year in lead cost alone, before counting the jobs. Hold any quote against that number, including ours.
Does your website tell Google which painting work you actually do?
“Painter” and “exterior house painting Houston” are not the same search, and a site that only says the first will not appear for the second.
Most painting sites we look at have one Services page listing everything in a paragraph. Google cannot tell whether you do interiors or exteriors, cabinets, commercial, new build or repaint, whether you handle carpentry repairs before you paint, or which parts of Harris County you actually drive to.
The fix is unglamorous: one clear page per service, real service-area detail, and schema that states plainly what you do and where. It is the difference between being findable and being listed.
Why does your website need to sell the preparation?
Because that is the part the cheap quote leaves out, and the part your customer cannot see once the job is done.
The Forest Service data is blunt about it: the same paint on a poorly chosen or poorly prepared surface loses half its life. Every homeowner comparing three quotes is trying to work out which one includes the work that is invisible by the end.
A page that explains your preparation, in plain words, does more to win a comparison than a gallery of finished walls. Almost nobody writes one.
What painting web design actually includes when we do it
Six things, and the fourth is the one that usually pays for the whole build.
A site built around the comparison
Written for a homeowner holding two other quotes, with your process, preparation and warranty stated where they can be found in ten seconds.
A page for each service you want to be called about
Interior, exterior, cabinets, commercial, new build, repaints and carpentry repair. Each written for the person searching that specific thing.
Service areas that match where you actually drive
Real coverage for the parts of Harris County and the surrounding areas you work, so you stop appearing for jobs ninety minutes away and start appearing for the ones next door.
An enquiry that gets answered in seconds, not Monday
The AI integration that acknowledges the Sunday-night quote request, confirms when a human will call, and asks the one question that saves you a site visit.
A Google Business Profile that is actually finished
Right primary category, real before-and-after photos of your own work, and a review process that runs every week rather than once a year.
Speed and search work included, not sold to you later
Compression, schema, sitemaps and Core Web Vitals are part of the build. Not a retainer we introduce three months in.
How will you know whether the website actually worked?
Four numbers, taken before we start and again at thirty and ninety days. You get them whether they flatter us or not.
Measured on a real phone on mobile data, before the build and after. This is the one that decides whether the click you paid for becomes a visit.
Tracked separately from your main line, so you can see which enquiries the site produced rather than guessing.
How long an enquiry waits before it gets a first response. If you take the enquiry layer, this is the number it has to move.
Calls and direction requests from the map listing, which for most painting companies is a bigger source than the website itself.
Painting web design Houston pricing: three commitments, and you can stop after any
We publish the website price because it is predictable. The enquiry layer depends on your volume, so it is quoted after we have looked at it.
30 minutes
We look at your current site, your Google Business Profile and where your enquiries arrive. You get an honest answer on whether this is worth doing.
Up to ten pages
One fixed number agreed before work starts. No day rates, and no invoice that grows after you have committed.
Optional
The AI that answers out of hours, with a monthly running cost you approve before it goes live. We will tell you if your volume does not justify it.
Painting web design Houston: what owners ask first
How long does a painting company website take to build?
Two to four weeks for a standard build of up to ten pages, assuming you can get us photos and your service list. Good before-and-after photography carries this trade further than any copy we could write.
Will a new website actually get me more work?
On its own, sometimes. Combined with a finished Google Business Profile and something that answers quotes quickly, more reliably — painting decisions are comparison decisions, and the first professional reply usually sets the standard.
Should I show prices?
Not necessarily a number, but a structure. Homeowners ask three companies and pick the one whose pricing they understood. Explaining how you quote is worth more than hiding it.
Do I need the AI part, or just the website?
Only if you are genuinely missing enquiries. We will look at where your calls arrive before recommending it, and if the volume is not there we will say so.
What happens to my existing site and domain?
They stay yours. Everything is registered in your name from day one, and if you leave us nothing switches off and nothing needs untangling.
Can you fix my current site instead of rebuilding it?
Often, and it is usually cheaper. If a rebuild is not the right answer we will tell you on the call.
Tell us where your enquiries are arriving. We will tell you what is leaking.
Thirty minutes, no obligation, and we will happily talk you out of a rebuild you do not need.
