Waterproofing web design Houston — for companies serving the two thirds nobody warned
Harvey flooded 154,170 homes in Harris County. Sixty-eight per cent of them were outside the mapped floodplain. Those homeowners had been told they were fine, and they are your market.
Waterproofing web design Houston earns its money on a market that does not know it is a market. Most of the people who need you have never had a flood insurance conversation, because a map told them they were low risk. Your website has to do the explaining that the map did not.
How many Houston homes flood outside the floodplain?
Far more than the maps suggest, and this is the single most useful fact your website can carry.
Harris County homes flooded by Hurricane Harvey
of those — 68% — were outside the mapped 1% floodplain
rain in four days at Clear Creek and I-45
EPA drying window, after which mold growth becomes likely
Flood figures from the Harris County Flood Control District final Harvey report, 4 June 2018. Drying window and humidity guidance from the US Environmental Protection Agency.
Two thirds of the homes Harvey flooded were outside the mapped 1% floodplain. That is not a rounding error, it is the majority of the damage.
Every one of those homeowners believed the map. The company that explains, in plain words, why being outside the floodplain is not the same as being safe is the company they call.
Why does Houston humidity make mold a separate business from flooding?
Because you do not need a flood to get mold here. The EPA advises keeping indoor relative humidity below 60 per cent, and ideally between 30 and 50 per cent. The Houston dawn normal is 90 per cent.
The EPA is also specific about the window after any water event: dry wet materials within 24 to 48 hours and in most cases mold will not grow. After that, you are in remediation rather than drying.
That 24 to 48 hour window is the most commercially important sentence on your entire website, and almost nobody in this trade puts it above the fold.
What does a Houston waterproofing lead actually cost you?
Before deciding what a website is worth, work out what you already pay to make one phone ring.

WordStream, Google Ads Benchmarks 2026, Home & Home Improvement category. Median figures from 13,474 US search campaigns running April 2025 to March 2026.
Roughly ninety dollars to make one phone ring — and after a storm the whole county searches at once, so that number climbs when demand peaks.
Two enquiries a week that never get a reply is about $9,000 a year in lead cost alone, before counting the jobs. Hold any quote against that number, including ours.
Does your website tell Google which water problems you actually solve?
“Waterproofing” and “mold remediation Houston” are not the same search, and a site that only says the first will not appear for the second.
Most sites in this trade have one Services page listing everything in a paragraph. Google cannot tell whether you do foundation and crawl space waterproofing, drainage, water extraction, structural drying, mold testing or remediation, whether you turn out at night, or which parts of Harris County you actually drive to.
The fix is unglamorous: one clear page per service, real service-area detail, and schema that states plainly what you do and where. It is the difference between being findable and being listed.
How fast should the site load with water still in the house?
Under two seconds on a phone, on mobile data, possibly with the power out.
This visitor is inside the 24 to 48 hour window whether they know it or not. A four-second load is not a mild inconvenience — it is the moment they close you and open the next result, and you paid $8.33 for that click.
Speed is not a vanity metric on an emergency trade site. It is the last step between the click you bought and the call you wanted.
What waterproofing web design actually includes when we do it
Six things, and the fourth is the one that usually pays for the whole build.
A site built around the emergency drying window
Phone number visible before anything loads, one-tap calling, and the 24 to 48 hour window stated above the fold where it does its work.
A page for each service you want to be called about
Foundation and crawl space waterproofing, drainage, water extraction, structural drying, mold testing, remediation. Each written for the person searching that specific thing.
Service areas that match where you actually drive
Real coverage for the parts of Harris County and the surrounding areas you work, so you stop appearing for jobs ninety minutes away and start appearing for the ones next door.
An enquiry that gets answered in seconds, not hours
The AI integration that acknowledges the message, confirms when a human will call, and asks the one question that tells you whether water is still coming in.
A floodplain page that corrects the map
Why being outside the mapped floodplain is not the same as being safe, said plainly. Two thirds of Harvey damage was outside it, and almost nobody in this trade explains that.
Speed and search work included, not sold to you later
Compression, schema, sitemaps and Core Web Vitals are part of the build. Not a retainer we introduce three months in.
How will you know whether the website actually worked?
Four numbers, taken before we start and again at thirty and ninety days. You get them whether they flatter us or not.
Measured on a real phone on mobile data, before the build and after. This is the one that decides whether the click you paid for becomes a visit.
Tracked separately from your main line, so you can see which enquiries the site produced rather than guessing.
How many arrived outside working hours, and how many got a reply the same evening. Inside a 24 to 48 hour drying window, this is the number that matters most.
Calls and direction requests from the map listing, which for most waterproofing companies is a bigger source than the website itself.
Waterproofing web design Houston pricing: three commitments, and you can stop after any
We publish the website price because it is predictable. The enquiry layer depends on your call volume, so it is quoted after we have looked at it.
30 minutes
We look at your current site, your Google Business Profile and where your enquiries arrive. You get an honest answer on whether this is worth doing.
Up to ten pages
One fixed number agreed before work starts. No day rates, and no invoice that grows after you have committed.
Optional
The AI that answers out of hours, with a monthly running cost you approve before it goes live. We will tell you if your volume does not justify it.
Waterproofing web design Houston: what owners ask first
How long does a waterproofing website take to build?
Two to four weeks for a standard build of up to ten pages, assuming you can get us photos and your service list.
Will a new website actually get me more work?
On its own, sometimes. Combined with a finished Google Business Profile and something that answers out of hours, more reliably — most of this work is decided inside a two-day window.
Should the site talk about floodplain maps?
Yes, and it is your strongest page. Two thirds of the homes Harvey flooded in Harris County were outside the mapped floodplain. Explaining that plainly turns a homeowner who thinks they are safe into an enquiry.
Do I need the AI part, or just the website?
Only if you are genuinely missing after-hours enquiries. We will look at where your calls arrive before recommending it, and if the volume is not there we will say so.
What happens to my existing site and domain?
They stay yours. Everything is registered in your name from day one, and if you leave us nothing switches off.
Can you fix my current site instead of rebuilding it?
Often, and it is usually cheaper. If a rebuild is not the right answer we will tell you on the call.
Tell us where your enquiries are arriving. We will tell you what is leaking.
Thirty minutes, no obligation, and we will happily talk you out of a rebuild you do not need.
